Our Story

The Story of RP K9 Academy

Our roots go deep into the world of canine care, training, and rehabilitation. B'Angelo White started his career with a strong academic foundation, earning a B.S. in Animal Sciences and Business from North Carolina A&T State University. Initially pursuing veterinary medicine, his path shifted after years of volunteer work at local animal shelters where he began saving dogs on the verge of euthanasia through behavior modification and holistic care. That experience lit a fire. In 2015, RP K9 Academy was born from that passion formerly known as Pawfect K9 Services. Our goal is to help dogs and their humans live more harmonious lives through structured, high-quality training and real-world results.

Our Philosophy

We believe that behavior change isn’t just about teaching commands. It’s about healing the whole dog—emotionally, mentally, and physically. That’s why we combine training with education, structure, and nutrition. Our programs are designed not only to correct problems like leash pulling, aggression, or separation anxiety, but to empower dog owners with tools they can use for life.Every dog is different. So every training plan is personalized.We don’t offer cookie-cutter solutions. We invest the time to get to know your dog’s unique temperament, background, and goals. And most importantly, we train you too—because true success comes from both ends of the leash.

Meet The Founder

B'Angelo White

B'Angelo brings over a decade of hands-on training experience with everything from rescue dogs to law enforcement K9s. His background in animal science and his specialization in canine nutrition allow him to approach dog training from a well-rounded, holistic perspective.

He's saved hundreds of dogs from behavioral euthanasia and has a track record of helping families regain peace, structure, and trust with their dogs.He also mentors the next generation of dog trainers including active military members and teens to carry forward his mission of purposeful dog training.
